The President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev and the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam visited the town of Samokov within the framework of the official Vietnamese visit to our country. The high-ranking guests and their accompanying delegations were welcomed at the SamElion Hotel by Eng. Petar Georgiev - Executive Director of Samel-90 AD. A meeting with the company's management was held in the conference hall of the complex. Eng. Georgiev welcomed the guests and presented the main directions of the company's activities, its production capabilities and technological progress. During the talks, the prospects for expanding industrial and technological cooperation between Bulgaria and Vietnam were discussed. Secretary General To Lam emphasized that Vietnam strives for a proactive and independent defense industry and views Bulgaria as a strategic partner. He stated that the two countries wish to share experience and expand their cooperation in the field of defense, with companies from Bulgaria and Vietnam participating in specialized exhibitions in both countries. President Rumen Radev thanked Eng. Georgiev for the hospitality and stressed the importance of deepening bilateral economic, industrial and technological ties. After the official speeches, the guests had the opportunity to get acquainted with some of the specialized production of "Samel-90". Subsequently, the delegations also visited the production facilities of the enterprise, where they examined the modern technological lines and equipment. At the end of the visit, Eng. Georgiev presented President Radev and Secretary General Tho Lam with honorary plaques of "Samel-90". In turn, Tho Lam presented the host with a painting of traditional Vietnamese landscapes, expressing the hope that Eng. Georgiev would see in person the places depicted on the canvas. Georgiev replied that he highly appreciated this gesture and that he admired the beauty of Vietnam. The visit took place in the context of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and was part of the Vietnamese leader's European tour.
